Last night I spoke with a dear Israeli American-Israeli friend who travelled from the United States to Israel on October 7 to join her family for her brother’s wedding. It was a long anticipated moment of beauty as members of this Jewish family gathered from around the world in their homeland of Israel to celebrate the birth of a new family. Nothing went as expected.
